Solo Travel... Part 2

So after booking the flight and spending hours on Booking.com searching for a hotel that matched my identity and soul… I finally found the one.

The hotel I chose had a cozy, minimalist Japanese-themed room. A soft white mattress lay on a low wooden frame with space underneath for shoes and luggage. The decor was warm and natural—wood accents everywhere—and the bathroom, although small, had everything I needed, including a compact shower.

One of my favorite features was the large window with wooden shades that blocked out noise and harsh sunrays, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Above the bed, a soft lighting fixture displayed the hotel’s name. You could control the ambiance, and it gave the room a calm, pretty glow—exactly what I needed for my first solo stay.

The hotel? It’s called MoMo's Hotel.

I first spotted it on Booking.com and loved the aesthetic, but I wasn’t ready to book yet. So, I dug deeper—searching TikTok and Google Maps for reviews and real-life photos. After a good amount of research, I decided it was the one. But here's a little tip: I didn’t book through Booking.com. I checked the hotel’s official website and found a much better deal. I also waited until a few days before my trip to book—and ended up saving even more.

With the flight booked and hotel locked in, the next step was planning what to do in Malaysia.
Where should I go? How do I get around? How can I plan my days without overwhelming myself?
All of that is coming up in my next blog.
